Services — Functional Medicine

Your pain may be coming
from somewhere you'd never expect

Conventional medicine treats symptoms. Functional medicine asks why they exist — and the answer is often rooted in gut health, chronic inflammation, and biochemical imbalances that standard care never looks for.

The connection most patients miss

Your gut and your joints are in constant conversation

"We see patients who have been to multiple specialists for joint pain — and nobody ever looked at their gut. When we address the gut, the musculoskeletal picture often changes dramatically."
The gut-joint axis is one of the most well-documented yet least-communicated connections in clinical medicine. Intestinal permeability allows bacterial fragments and undigested proteins to enter the bloodstream, triggering a systemic inflammatory response that directly affects joint tissue, spinal discs, and soft tissue throughout the body.
When the gut lining is compromised, inflammatory molecules enter systemic circulation — and the immune system attacks them everywhere, including in joint tissue and connective tissue around the spine.

Gut inflammation is often the missing variable for patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain that hasn’t responded to structural treatment alone. Healing the gut, reducing systemic inflammation, and restoring microbiome balance can produce dramatic reductions in joint pain — changes that chiropractic and PT alone couldn’t achieve.

Each service is designed to complement your ongoing structural care — led by Kiley and coordinated directly with your chiropractic and PT team.

Service 02
TM Flow Testing
Non-invasive assessment of autonomic nervous system function and blood vessel health. The TM Flow device measures peripheral artery disease, sudomotor function, and ANS balance — revealing systemic health patterns that standard labs miss, and directly informing neuropathy care plans.

Service 03
Alternative Pain Management — Non-Opioid
Evaluation for and potential prescribing of Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) as adjuvant therapy for chronic pain conditions. LDN has an emerging evidence base for neuropathy, autoimmune disorders, Long COVID, POTS, MCAS, and fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue syndrome — providing meaningful pain relief without opioid dependency risk.

Hormone Optimization & Nutraceutical Protocols
Individualized hormone balancing, peptide therapy, and evidence-based supplement guidance. Hormone imbalance affects energy, mood, weight, sleep, joint health, and recovery from injury — Kiley evaluates hormone levels in the context of your full clinical picture and builds a protocol that supports your structural care goals.

Professional-grade supplementation
We carry only pharmaceutical-grade, third-party tested supplements with verified bioavailability. Dosing, formulation, and delivery method are selected based on your specific lab findings and treatment protocol — not a one-size recommendation.

Your visit

What to expect

01
In-depth intake
Your NP reviews your full health history, current symptoms, medications, and goals. Functional medicine requires context that a 10-minute appointment can't provide.
02
Lab work if warranted
Full blood panels, inflammatory markers, hormone levels — ordered based on your presentation. Results are reviewed in detail with you, not just flagged normal or abnormal.
03
Personalized protocol
A targeted program built around your findings — gut repair, hormone rebalancing, inflammation reduction, or weight loss — with specific supplementation and nutritional guidance.
04
Integrated with your care
Your NP communicates directly with your chiropractor and PT. The functional and structural sides of your care are coordinated — because they affect each other.
