Services — Laser Therapy

Healing at the speed
of light

Low-level laser therapy uses precise wavelengths of coherent light to stimulate cellular repair, reduce inflammation, and restore function — without heat, without medication, and without side effects. Erchonia has led this field for thirty years and holds more FDA clearances in low-level laser than any other company on earth.

How cold laser therapy works

Low-level laser therapy delivers focused photonic energy into tissue at wavelengths that match the absorption spectrum of cellular structures. Unlike surgical lasers that work through heat, these devices operate entirely through photochemical mechanisms. The tissue never warms. There is no tissue damage. There are no known adverse effects.

The primary mechanism: visible light photons excite electrons in cellular structures, triggering the electron transport chain — the body’s primary pathway for producing ATP. More ATP means faster repair, reduced oxidative stress, and accelerated recovery from injury and inflammation.

Laser vs. LED — the clinical difference
LED devices emit broad, non-focused light that affects only the skin surface. Laser diodes emit coherent, collimated light that penetrates subcutaneously — reaching tissue, joints, nerves, and disc structures where healing actually needs to happen.

Our equipment

Two devices. Distinct capabilities. One treatment room.

We use both the EVRL and PL-Touch because no single device is optimal for every condition. The EVRL’s violet wavelength opens treatment possibilities that red-only devices cannot reach. Together they give us a full clinical toolkit.
Erchonia EVRL
Red & Violet Handheld Laser
Dual-wavelength · FDA cleared
The EVRL combines red (640nm) and violet (405nm) wavelengths in a single treatment. The violet diode stimulates mitochondrial complexes 1, 2, and 4 simultaneously — producing superior outcomes compared to red-only devices. The violet wavelength also carries documented anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties.

Erchonia PL-Touch
Quad-Diode Red Laser
Four-diode 635nm · dual probe
The PL-Touch houses four line-generated laser diodes across two removable probes — delivering broad, consistent red light coverage across a treatment area simultaneously. The dual-probe design allows both probes to be applied to different zones at once, enabling bilateral protocols.

What we treat

Conditions addressed with laser therapy

Erchonia holds FDA clearances for neck and shoulder pain, chronic low back pain, plantar fasciitis, post-operative pain, and acne.
Neck & shoulder pain
FDA-cleared. Particularly effective when combined with atlas correction — laser reduces soft tissue inflammation while chiropractic restores alignment.
Chronic low back pain
FDA-cleared. Deep 635nm penetration reaches lumbar disc and facet tissue — reducing the inflammatory load that sustains chronic pain cycles.
Plantar fasciitis
FDA-cleared. One of the most treatment-resistant foot conditions responds consistently to Erchonia protocols — often producing significant relief where other approaches have failed.
Post-surgical recovery
Accelerates tissue healing, reduces post-operative inflammation, and supports nerve regeneration following spine surgery or joint replacement.
Disc herniation
Used alongside spinal decompression to reduce the inflammatory response at the nerve root — enhancing decompression outcomes.
Sciatica
Targets the inflammatory component of sciatic nerve compression — reducing neurogenic inflammation that drives radiating pain and weakness.
Arthritis
Reduces joint inflammation and supports cartilage health in both osteoarthritis and inflammatory arthropathy.
Tendinopathy & sprains
Promotes collagen remodeling and reduces tendon inflammation. Effective for Achilles, rotator cuff, patellar, and lateral epicondyle presentations.
Inflammatory acne
FDA-cleared via the violet (405nm) diode. The antibacterial properties of the violet wavelength target the bacterial component of moderate inflammatory acne directly.
POTS syndrome
Photobiomodulation supports autonomic nervous system regulation and improves peripheral circulation — two key drivers of the dysautonomia underlying POTS. Laser therapy is increasingly used as part of broader treatment protocols for postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome.
Brain function & cognitive health
Near-infrared wavelengths penetrate cranial tissue and have been shown to support mitochondrial function in neurons, reduce neuroinflammation, and improve cerebral circulation — with applications in cognitive fatigue, brain fog, and neurological recovery.
Long COVID symptoms
Persistent post-viral inflammation, neurological dysfunction, fatigue, and autonomic dysregulation are hallmarks of Long COVID. Low-level laser therapy addresses the neuroinflammatory and mitochondrial components that drive many of these symptoms — making it a valuable tool in multi-modal Long COVID care plans.
Your visit

What to expect

01
Assessment
Your condition, treatment history, and inflammatory status determine which device and protocol is most appropriate.
02
Targeted application
The laser is applied directly over affected tissue. Sessions are brief — typically 5–15 minutes. You feel nothing, or at most a gentle warmth.
03
No downtime
Walk in, walk out. Laser therapy integrates seamlessly before or after your chiropractic, PT, or decompression session.
04
Cumulative results
Effects are cumulative — each session builds on the last. Acute conditions respond in 4–6 sessions. Chronic presentations typically require a longer series.
